Nasdaq has indicated it may begin listing options for the BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Trust imminently, marking a significant step toward institutional adoption of cryptocurrencies. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs plans to spin off its cryptocurrency platform into a new company focused on blockchain-based financial instruments, with Tradeweb Markets among its strategic partners. MicroStrategy, continuing its Bitcoin-focused strategy, purchased 51,780 BTC for $4.6 billion, bringing its total holdings to 331,200 BTC at an average price of $49,874 per coin, solidifying its position as the largest institutional Bitcoin holder globally. 

Spot Bitcoin ETFs have experienced a six-week streak of record-breaking inflows, totalling $9 billion, with BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust leading and spot Ether ETFs also growing with $682 million in inflows over the past three weeks. Major institutional investors, including Paul Tudor Jones, who increased his stake in BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF, have contributed to this growth. In Poland, presidential candidate Sławomir Mentzen has pledged to establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve if elected, drawing parallels to Bitcoin-supportive leaders like those in the U.S. and El Salvador. In the stablecoin market, Tether, Kraken, and Fabric Ventures are supporting Quantoz Payments’ launch of MiCA-compliant stablecoins EURQ and USDQ, fully backed by fiat reserves and licensed by the Dutch Central Bank, to provide secure digital payment options across the European Economic Area. 

Crypto.com has acquired Australian brokerage Fintek Securities, enabling it to offer equities, derivatives, and banking services alongside digital assets in Australia. Solana-based decentralised finance (DeFi) applications have achieved record fees and revenue due to a renewed memecoin frenzy, with platforms like Raydium and Jito driving millions in fees. Solana’s market cap surged to $112 billion as its price approached an all-time high, supported by an inflation schedule rewarding stakers and a dramatic 2,700% rise in memecoins like Peanut (PNUT). In other news, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. reaffirmed his commitment to Bitcoin, revealing he has invested most of his wealth in the cryptocurrency, viewing it as a hedge against devaluation and a symbol of financial freedom, while pledging to establish a Bitcoin strategic reserve if elected president.
